The EUR HEALTHY at the Université Côte d’Azur and PNSD Rosella Hightower offer a University Diploma (DU) entitled « Dance, Health, Ageing. »
It falls within the current context aiming to develop physical practices to improve people’s health, notably within typical « ageing well » and « sport and well-being » policies, that prioritise seniors, fragile individuals, and those suffering from long-term conditions, particularly people with some prior experience or an interest in dance.
The training contents of the DU DSV aim to optimise the potential for adapted physical activity in dance, and to encourage the use of such activities for preventive health purposes and non-drug therapy.
The DU DSV is designed for the formal and continuing education of dance teachers and professionals in physical activity instruction who wish to train in the design and implementation of dance activities for successful ageing and health. It also caters to health and care professionals, specialising in physical and mental health, and somatic techniques teachers.
Application-based access with a minimum entry level of Bac+2 or equivalent
The DU DSV comprises 150 hours of in-person training over the whole academic year. They are conducted by each contributor at their respective venues in Nice and Cannes-Mougins.
